Runtime (run-time) errors message are often caused by:

It could be that applications are running in the background that are conflicting with the program that is experiencing errors. To eliminate this possibility, simultaneously press and hold CTRL+ALT+DELETE and release the keys. This should bring up the Windows Task Manager.
If there are applications running in the “applications” tab, save any unsaved work and click the “end task” button to close off any potentially conflicting programs. After this, try running the application you received a runtime error message from previously, and see if the error appears again.
If you’ve had no success with removing the possibility of background programs or processing conflicting with your error-prone program, the software you’re trying to use may have a bug in its design. Most often software developers are aware of this and have a program patch or update that can be downloaded and run to fix the runtime error.
If the developer’s website doesn’t have a patch for the particular runtime error you’re experiencing, uninstalling and reinstalling the application may take care of the error.
Viruses and spyware are some of the worst offenders when it comes to perpetrating runtime errors. As always, running a virus and spyware scan can reveal a hidden, malicious program in the background that is messing with your system.
(Recommended: run a free spyware scan now to remove any malicious programs that may have hijacked Windows without your knowledge or consent)
If you have recently installed new RAM memory chips into your computer, careful or professional removal of the newly installed chips could help narrow down a RAM memory issue. This is fairly rare though, and one of the above causes is most likely.
